This page is about writing in the sense of more-or-less professional writing of substantial amounts of text. So it is not concerned with language doubts (like when to use ‘it’s’ or ‘its’ or whether a singular collective noun can take a plural verb form – try the Language Stuff page if that’s what you’re interested in), or advertising copywriting, which is a subworld all of its own.
